When I Am So Troubled That I Cannot Speak

The heart of the Psalmist's is beautifully opened up to us in the inspiration of the 77th Psalm:

"...when I meditate, my spirit faints..", or I feel like giving up - I'm overwhelmed with the pain, the sorrow, the grief, or the anger. The Psalmist was meditating on the wrong things. The problems and suffering of this world are not what the Christian is to be meditating on - praying yes - meditating, no!

"..Then my spirit made a diligent search:

'Will the Lord spurn forever,
'and never again be favorable?' (answer - He will never do this to His people!)
'Has his steadfast love forever ceased?' (answer - He will never do this to His people!)
'Are his promises at end for all time?' (answer - He will never do this to His people!)
'Has God forgotten to be gracious?' (answer - He will never do this to His people!)
'Has he in anger shut up his compassion?' (answer - He will never do this to His people!)

"..Then I said, 'I will appeal to this..." (you need to appeal to these questions not your suffering or trouble)

Brother, sister, you need to be encouraged when in you spirit, your heart, you want to give up - you are overwhelmed with life's troubles and suffering. Recall to mind and meditate on the truth of Scripture regarding the steadfast love and compassion of your God.

Read the rest of this Psalm - it will enlighten the darkness of your suffering and trouble; He will renew your hope as you meditate on Him.

Love to you in Christ Jesus, as you seek to meditate on what He has done which will prove His faithfulness to you now.

The Lord Jesus Christ is our hope. You are not beyond hope. Jesus Christ is our hope!

In 1 Timothy 1:1 the Bible says: "Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope.."(ESV)

The Word "hope" means expectation.

"16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,
17 comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word."
(2Th 2:16-17 ESV)

I pray that you only hope (expectation) will be in Jesus Christ for He loves you! God bless you, PR
