His Simple Touch

The love of our Lord Jesus Christ was seen when He was willing to touch an unclean, diseased leper who came to Him for help. The leper needed Christ to do for him what he could never do for himself - become clean, pure, holy. Leprous people were not to be touched by those who were clean or the diseased uncleanness would spread. No one ever touched a leper but another leper. However, Jesus reached "out His hand and touched him, saying, ' I will; be clean.'" Immediately "his leprosy was cleansed" (Matthew 9:1-4).

Jesus Christ can make you clean from all the wickedness you have committed. He will reach out His hand of strength and forgive you of all your sins if you will call upon His name. All it takes is for you call upon Him; His desire to cleanse the wicked from the guilt, shame, regret, evil, and unrighteousness of our wicked acts. All we have to do is believe in His death and resurrection, and we, too, will be cleansed, forgiven, and saved from Hell.

What a blessing to know we can go to heaven by the simple touch of Christ's hand in our life.
