Consecrated for Service

In Leviticus chapter 8, Moses is commanded by God to place the blood of the ram for consecration on the tip of Aaron's right ear, the thumb of Aaron's right hand, and the big toe of Aaron's right foot. He did this for Aaron's sons as well. Why did YHVH (LORD) have Moses do this?

The man who serves the LORD must be completely consecrated to this holy service. His ears need to be cleansed by the blood Christ, so his desire is to hear the Word of God. His hands must be cleansed by the blood of Christ, so all of his actions will glorify Him. His feet need to cleansed, so he will never cease to walk in the ways of the LORD.
