Doing Good is the Lake of Fire's Deception
The issue is not helping people, for that is what our Lord Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, commanded us to do. We are, through His love shed abroad in our hearts by the gift of the Holy Spirit, commanded to love one another. We are not to love in word only, but we are to love in deed and in truth. The world wide interfaith movement that mega politicians are rhetorically promoting, converted Catholic, ex-prime ministers are propagating, and Christian premadonnas are embracing is a movement that seeks to do good in the name of “faith.” The danger is simply this: faith is not God. Faith, as understood by the Tony Blair Foundation, is a great motivating force in the world. Four billion people on the planet have some form of faith. Because we all have faith, all people of faith should unite for the common good of mankind. This movement has as its basic premise that people of faith have faith in common; however, the faith of all world religions is not the faith once delivered to the saints by Jesus Christ Himself (Jude 1:3). It is a faith that expresses itself in a plurality of doctrines. Jesus Christ’s doctrine is not a part of the world wide interfaith movement. His doctrine is excluded because it demands that men of any religion forsake their religion and follow Him if they want to go to heaven. It demands that all people of religious faith repent of their sins before the God of the Bible, believe in Jesus Christ as their God and Savior, and follow His teachings contained in the entirety of the Bible through the power of the Holy Spirit. This doctrine is excluded from the Tony Blair Faith Foundation because of its demands and authority.
Interfaith movements are demonic in origin and will lead people to the Lake of Fire. Paul told Timothy: “Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron..” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). You cannot be a born again Christian and be a member or join in the cause of the interfaith movement for the common good unless you are declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the sole reason for why you are doing good. You cannot do good for the sake of good itself because “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one: there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one” (Romans 3:11-12). All the good works that any interfaith foundation will do is not enough to enable those whom a group helps to escape the eternal Lake of Fire. These foundations have missed the big picture; the one that Jesus came to shed is uncommon blood for. Jesus came to save sinners; He did not come to simply do good works.
Where do you stand on the current interfaith movement? Is it something you are going to be a part of? Are you willing to sacrifice your faith in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ so that you can join the billions in a march to display the goodness of Man that’s finish is the Lake of Fire?
